The University provides membership for all full-time employees to Care.com. Care.com can help you find short and long-term care for children, seniors, pets, and more!
How to use your UR-sponsored Care.com membership
- Click on the enrollment link to sign up for your own account through UR.
- Search for caregiver profiles that match your needs in your area, or post a job for candidates to apply to.
- You can schedule interviews from any device and request background checks. Once you’re ready to hire, you can schedule and pay for your caregiver on Care.com.
- You can pay caregivers directly, through the Care.com site, or through the Care.com app.
Register for Care Talks within your Care Portal
Care Talks allow you to hear from experts who are offering guidance to help you and your family.
Your can now register for Care Talks directly from your Care.com portal. You are now able to sign up with a single click, easily view Care Talks they have registered for, and access past recordings.

This seminar provides information on identity theft, including prevention and coping tips. We will discuss how it occurs, prevention, immediate steps for victims, and helpful resources.
August 20 | Exploring Senior Housing Alternatives
Explore housing options and care facilities for older adults. Learn to assess a loved one’s living situation, communicate about care options, explore different housing alternatives, and evaluate facilities.
August 21 | Juggling Act: The Five Buckets
Are you struggling to find balance? Learn practical strategies for an integrated approach to find balance in the five key areas of life: family/friends, work, giving back, finance, and health.
August 26 | Get Smart About Brain Health
Maintaining good brain health and memory fitness can make a big difference as we try to remember names and faces, recall important information or retain facts. You will learn to maintain a healthy brain and boost brain power.
August 27 | Bullying: How to Protect Your Child
Learn how to recognize the signs of bullying and prevent or cope with it. Explore types of bullying, talking with children, signs your child may be being bullied, and what to do if you suspect your child is bullying others.
