The Cigna EAP is available to all UR employees at no cost. The EAP works with you and your household family members to connect you with the right professionals, direct you to a variety of helpful resources in your community, and more.
If you need help navigating the complex healthcare industry, we also offer no-cost access to Health Advocate, a service which provides assistance in solving healthcare-related issues. Please visit our Health Advocate page for more information.
Cigna EAP Services
- Four face-to-face counseling sessions with a counselor in your area.
- On-site behavioral health counselor: Confidential and private appointments. Contact our counselor directly to schedule:

- Legal assistance: 30-minutes consultation with an attorney face-to-face or by phone.
- Financial: 30-minute telephone consultation with a qualified specialist on topics, such as debt counseling or planning for retirement.
- Parenting: Childcare providers, before and after school programs, camps, adoption organizations, child development, prenatal care, and more.
- Eldercare: Home health agencies, assisted living facilities, social and recreational programs and long-distance caregiving.
- Pet care: Pet sitting, obedience training, and veterinarian and pet stores.
How to Access the EAP
- Log in to mycigna.com
- Select "Coverage" on the main navigation
- Select "Employee Assistance Program"
Call EAP 24 hours a day, seven days a week at 877-622-4327 or log in to the MyCigna website using the employer ID 'richmond'.
Employees who are not enrolled in the university's medical insurance plan can register for MyCigna.com by using the employer ID: "Richmond" to register.
