I forgot to register or I was hired past the registration deadline. Can I still attend?
Yes! We hope you will plan to attend. Registration is required for each event for catering purposes. So, if you forgot to register or missed the deadline, you can still come and enjoy the concert, games and fun with your colleagues. You are also welcome to bring your own food, and we encourage you to bring a folding chair.
When you arrive at the entry with your OneCard ID (required for entry), you will receive a wristband indicating that you are not eligible for catered food or alcoholic beverages at this event. Outside alcohol is strictly prohibited.

What time are the events?
Each event will take place from 3PM – 5:30PM.

Do I need to register? Is there a registration deadline?
Yes. Registration is required for each event in order to plan for food and beverage. Employees will be notified in advance when registration open for each event. Each event will have a different registration deadline which will be announced when registration opens. It will be approximately one week prior to each event.

I registered but can no longer attend. Can I give my ticket to someone else?
No, because URIDs will be checked at the gate. We would, however, like to open your spot if you cannot attend. Please contact urhr@richmond.edu if you need to "un-register".

Where is the Millhiser Green/how do I enter the Millhiser Green?
The Millhiser Green is in front of the Wellbeing Center, which is building number 363 on the Campus Map. It is along Richmond Way.

Do I need an ID to get in?
Yes. You will not be permitted to enter the event space without your University OneCard. You will need to present your government-issued ID for receipt of alcoholic beverage tickets. You must be 21+ to consume alcohol.

How many beer and wine tickets are included? Can I purchase additional beer and wine tickets?
Each registered employee 21+ will be gifted 2 drink tickets. There will be no additional beer and wine tickets for sale.

Can I bring my own alcohol?
No. Outside alcohol is strictly prohibited.

What kind of food is included? May I bring my own food?
Each registered employee will receive a boxed snack. Please feel free to bring additional snacks if you wish. Water and non-alcoholic beverages will be available to all registrants.

What is the rain plan for these events?
In the event of inclement weather, events will be relocated to the Jepson Alumni Center. Decisions to relocate will be made 24-hours in advance and registrants will be notified. Please note that the capacity for the JAC is lower than that of the Millhiser Green, so we strongly encourage employees to register early. The summer weather is unpredictable - please feel free to bring an umbrella with you, as light rain or a passing shower is always a possibility.

What are the seating arrangements? Can I bring a pop-up or tailgate tent?
Please consider bringing a blanket or folding chair if you wish to sit. For liability reasons, pop-up/tailgate tents are not permitted.

Can I come during my scheduled shift?
All employees are encouraged to attend if their work schedule permits. Please confirm with your supervisor.

I’m not scheduled to work that day. Can I attend anyway, and would I be paid?
Employees will not be paid to attend if the event falls outside of their scheduled shift or on a day that they are not scheduled to work, but they are still welcome to attend.

I don’t consume alcohol. Is this event friendly for me?
Yes! We want all employees to feel welcome. The atmosphere of this event will be social and relaxed. Water and non-alcoholic beverages will be available at separate locations so that employees who wish not to partake can do so without waiting in a beer or wine line. Additionally, drink tickets are strictly limited to two per person for the safety of our employees and community.

Is there a philanthropic connection with this event?
Yes! We will be collecting donations to support the therapeutic art program for students at The Georgetown School in Hanover County. This program allows students to work through external pressures and trauma while practicing self-care and well-being.
Items in need include:
Crayola crayons/colored pencils/markers/crayons/watercolor paints, any brand acrylic paints, paint brushes, buttons, beads for jewelry making, small canvases, felt squares and Astrobrights colored paper. Many items can be purchased at dollar stores.
