Employees are invited to share some GenURosity on October 11th by supporting the Children’s Hospital of Richmond.
At this event, we will be collecting the following NEW items to support children’s healthcare experience, providing comfort and distraction to normalize the hospital environment. To see the list of needed items, please view the FAQ below.

Do I need to register? Is there a registration deadline?
Registration is required for this event in order to plan for food and beverage. The deadline is Tuesday, October 4th at noon.

Is there a philanthropic cause tied to this event?
Yes! At this event, we will be collecting the following NEW items to support children’s healthcare experience at Children’s Hospital of Richmond:
- Board books
- Bubble wands
- Building block sets
- Children’s card games
- Elmer’s glue slime kits
- Infant/baby toys
- Light up spinner wands
- Model Magic
- Sensory toys
- String lights to hang in patients’ rooms
- Stuffed animals
- Vehicle toys
- White artwork canvases
- Window art kits

I forgot to register or I was hired past the registration deadline. Can I still attend?
Yes! We hope you will plan to attend. Registration is required for each event for catering purposes. So, if you forgot to register or missed the deadline, you can still come and enjoy the concert, games and fun with your colleagues. You are also welcome to bring your own food, and we encourage you to bring a folding chair.
There will be no alcohol at this event.

Where is the Westhampton Green?
The Westhampton Green is located in front of Booker Hall on the Westhampton side of Campus. Booker Hall is building number 455 on the Campus Map.

Can I bring my family, friends, dependents or pets to this event?
No, this is an employee appreciation event.

Do I need an ID to get in?
Yes, in order to receive your food ticket. Please bring your University OneCard ID.

Can I bring my own alcohol?
No. Outside alcohol is strictly prohibited. There will be no alcohol at this event.

What is the rain plan for these events?
In the event of inclement weather, events will be relocated to the Jepson Alumni Center. Decisions to relocate will be made 24-hours in advance and registrants will be notified. Please note that the capacity for the JAC is lower than that of the Westhampton Green, so we strongly encourage employees to register early.

Can I come during my scheduled shift?
All employees are encouraged to attend if their work schedule permits. Please confirm with your supervisor.

I’m not scheduled to work that day. Can I attend anyway, and would I be paid?
Employees will not be paid to attend if the event falls outside of their scheduled shift or on a day that they are not scheduled to work, but they are still welcome to attend.
