New Employee Orientation

Welcome to the University of Richmond. You are joining students, staff, and faculty from many different backgrounds and many different places.

PLAnet Spider Workplace Learning Center is designed to help you, as a new member of the campus community, find your way and support you in your role in the implementation of the University's strategic plan, The Richmond Promise.

New Employee Orientation (NEO) is a multi-part program that provides a "big picture" perspective for new employees. Online registration for Part I (Day 1: New Employee Orientation), Part II (Workplace Safety or Workplace Security), and Part III (Community and Culture: New Employee Orientation) is done via the Course Catalog in PLAnet Spider.



New Employee Orientation (Part I)

New Employee Orientation is scheduled every other Monday; Remaining dates for 2011 are November 7 and December 5.
The first session for 2012 will be held on Tuesday, January 3, and then will revert to the every other Monday schedule starting Monday, January 16, 2012.

New Employee Orientations start promptly at 8:30 a.m. and end at approximately 12:30 p.m. Unless otherwise noted, they are held in Weinstein Academic Building, Room 221.

New Employee Orientation: Community & Culture (NEO Part II)

Part II, New Employee Orientations will be held at 8:30 a.m. in Weinstein Hall, on the second floor in Room 221 on the following dates:

  • Thursday, February 9, 2012
  • Thursday, April 5, 2012
  • Thursday, June 7, 2012
  • Thursday, August 2, 2012
  • Thursday, October 4, 2012
  • Thursday, December 6, 2012
