The Talent Management team strives to attract, develop, and retain outstanding employees with superior potential that meet the current and future organizational goals of UR. With nearly six decades of combined experience in recruiting and development, this team delivers best practices for hiring, development, planning, feedback, problem solving, change management, and succeeding with strategic initiatives. They work collaboratively with our HR Business Partners in support of talent acquisition and development.
The Compensation and Benefits team designs competitive total compensation packages for university employees allowing engaged, supportive, and diverse employees to expand the student experience and extend to alumni and the community. This team ensures that the University has a sustainable compensation structure and competitive benefits while developing policies and procedures to ensure the University remains compliant with all state and federal regulations. Collectively, the Compensation and Benefits team has over 60 years of professional experience in the design, delivery, and support of employer sponsored compensation and benefit plans.
HR Business Partners work with managers, individuals and departments to identify areas for organizational and individual growth. With a thorough understanding of the strategic objectives, financial matters and personnel issues in the departments they support, Business Partners connect you with the appropriate HR expertise to sustain departmental performance. Our Business Partners bring over 50 years of experience in and outside higher education supporting employees and organizations in areas of employee relations, performance, succession planning, training and development, and more.
HR Operations is comprised of two groups: the HR Solution Center (HRSC) and HR Information Systems (HRIS). With 45 years of combined experience in all HR areas including recruiting, employment, benefits, payroll, and Banner; and broad business experience in accounting, budgeting, office management, and customer service, the Solution Center serves as a single point of contact for all HR questions and transactions. They work to make each interaction with applicants and employees efficient, satisfying, and productive. HRIS performs system administration and reporting for all HR systems. Drawing upon more than 30 years of experience in HR, payroll, international tax, student accounts, and registrar’s office, the HRIS team administers eight HR systems to provide reports, information, and support throughout the entire campus community.
