You may choose the alternative plan. The University contributes towards the cost, and the employee pays a portion of the cost, based on the primary plan contribution schedule.
Your medical insurance will be effective the first day of the month following your employment, unless your start date coincides with the first day of the month. If you fail to complete the required application for enrollment, then the effective date of your insurance will be delayed until the first of the month following our receipt of your completed application.

Vacation
- 1 - 4 years: 12 days
- 5 - 9 years: 15 days
- 10 - 14 years: 18 days
- After 15 years: 20 days
Vacation will be available upon completion of probationary period.
Sick Leave
Accrued at the rate of 1 day per month, maximum accrual 130 days. Sick leave will be available as it is earned.

Educational Benefits
Employees may take five non-credit classes per year. Three credit classes per year (one per semester), provided the employee is academically qualified to enroll. After one year of full-time employment, six credit classes may be taken per year, two per semester.
Dependent Children may attend the University tuition free after the employee has been continuously employed for three years. The child must be academically qualified and be accepted through normal admission procedures.
Spouses may attend the University tuition free after the employee has been continuously employed for four years, provided that they do not already have an undergraduate degree.
Dependent children and spouses of eligible employees may take a maximum of five non-credit classes during each calendar year, with no limit on the amount of classes taken each semester term as long as the total amount does not exceed five.
After One Year of Employment
Decreasing Life Insurance - 100% employer paid
Long Term Disability Insurance - 100% employer paid
Retirement Plan - The University will contribute the equivalent of 5% of an employee's salary to TIAA, Vanguard or American Funds. Should the employee wish to contribute to the plan, he/she may do so in increments of whole percentages and for every 1% contribution made by the employee, the University will match up to a limit of 5%. If, prior to being hired at the University, the employee had served the previous twelve (12) months of employment at an institution of higher education, the one-year waiting period for enrollment will be waived. The employee must be hired into a position which is eligible for the University's retirement benefits.
Part-time Employees
An employee who works 1,000 hours or more per year is eligible for the following benefits on a pro rated basis:

Please Note: Hourly Employees are paid biweekly on Friday. Salaried Employees are paid on the first of each month. |
