Age Limitations for Coverage

Medical, Dental, and Vision

Coverage ends on December 31 of the calendar year in which your child turns 26. Remove your dependent during Open Enrollment prior to their coverage ending. Your dependent will automatically be offered Cobra for Medical and Dental insurance.

Long-Term Disability

After age 68 1/2, benefits are payable up to a maximum of one year.

Basic Life Insurance

Employee

Coverage automatically reduces to 65% at age 65. At age 70, coverage automatically reduces to 45%. At age 75, coverage automatically reduces to 30%. At age 80%, coverage automatically reduces to 20%.

Voluntary Life Insurance

Employee

Coverage automatically reduces to 65% at age 65. At age 70, coverage automatically reduces to 45%. At age 75, coverage automatically reduces to 30%. At age 80%, coverage automatically reduces to 20%.

Spouse/SSDP

Coverage automatically reduces to 65% at age 65 and ends on their 70th birthday.

Child(ren)

Coverage will automatically end on their 19th birthday, unless they are a full-time student. If your child is a full-time student, coverage will automatically end on their 23rd birthday.
